Help me with my new gaming project! @ 04:06 am

Current Mood: hyper hyper

The details are a mystery for now, but I will happily share them in the near future, upon request.

For now, I am asking for volunteers to provide me with the following information:

1. Your blood type (ABO blood group, and +/-)
2. A super power you'd like to have (preferably something not mentioned by previous commenters!)
3. The injury/disease/disability you would MOST fear (yes, I know that's a bit morbid, but just go with me on this!)

Thanks, guys and gals =)

(P.S. Holy crap it is one month until Katsucon. One month!)

(P.P.S. I am way too hyper for 4am...)

Andrew is playing some Flash game on the living room PC.

Me: "What are you playing?"
Andrew: "..." (continues playing)

About ten minutes later...

Andrew: "It's some Flash game my sister linked me to."
Me: "...that was, like, the worst lag ever."
Andrew: "This living room has unacceptable ping."

Excited about the weekend @ 08:07 pm

Current Mood: excited excited

I have a new programming project to focus on, courtesy of [info]roamin_umpire.

Also seeing [info]girasola after being up here for two weeks, much of which was spent dedicated to the end of a most massive 6/7 campaign (which somehow managed to be completely and utterly worthy as the finale of a many-years-long campaign...amazing job on the part of [info]6ix7even!).

Going to see Scott Pilgrim tomorrow night. I've been itching since opening day!

Definitely excited about the weekend =)

Epic Moments in Munchkin History @ 03:04 am

Never (before tonight) have I ever played a game of Munchkin where a real money bribe was offered to redirect a curse card.

Perhaps it was foolish of me to try and jump right back into my old quiz schedule right before Otakon, but regardless, here are some late quiz answers. Right then, I'll try to be more timely going forward, but no promises.

So yeah. Otakon. Wow. )

Hope everyone else had at least half as good a weekend as I did.

Otakon > World Cup @ 04:44 pm

I am not making this up, and that makes me so happy.

Otakon has instituted a ban on vuvuzelas. Bwahaha.

And to demonstrate one possible outcome of violating this ban, we turn to our friends at Blendtec.

I am so amused.

I'll take Useless Crap for 4600, Alex @ 01:04 am

So, um. Yeah. It's Wednesday.

1) Fill in the blank:
"Dost thou love me?"
>NO.
"_____________!"
"Dost thou love me?"
(repeat ad infinitum)
2) What is the theoretical maximum amount of money a single player could earn in a single episode of Jeopardy! (under the present ruleset)?
3) What friendly young witch works for the Gutiokipanya Bakery? Performing what service?
4) What is Mrs. Sparsit's staircase?
5) In Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the internal public address system identifies the terminals using the letter (A, B, C, D, E, or T), and the corresponding characters in the military alphabet (alpha, bravo, charlie, etc.), with one exception. Which terminal is the exception, and why?

Remember when I used to do this? )

Good luck!

Musical addendum @ 01:03 am

Housemate Bob and I have both managed a passable amateur version of "Ode to Joy" and "Let it Be". I consider this a victory.

Also, and this is mostly for you, [info]direclown, anyone remember the old Nickelodeon show Clarissa Explains It All, with Melissa Joan Hart? Remember her friend Sam, who would always enter the scene by climbing up a ladder to her bedroom window? Whenever the ladder appeared in her window, there was a particular chord strummed on a guitar. It was a very distinctive sound and one of the most recognizable motifs of the show.

Well, we've discovered a chord (E minor) that can be used to similar comedic effect. Specifically, Bob strummed that one chord as Andrew walked out of the bathroom, outside of Andrew's field of vision. It was a hilariously surreal experience for him, one that we've wondered what other situations we can use to replicate =)
